No one is cheering for dead children. The point is that it is nonsensical to compare them; the killing of Palestinian children is an intentional strategy as part of an ongoing genocide, orders of magnitude greater in scale than the killing of Israeli children, which occurs incidentally during the resistance to that genocide.

You are allowed to mourn for all of them, but you must notice that nearly all of who you're mourning are Palestinian. Did you also need black lives matter vs all lives matter explained to you?

there may come a time, years from now, when this and your later multi paragraphed reply will become clear to you as nothing other than equivocating to serve your ego. we aren't a group who'll get our names etched into history, no cowboy speech is going to change the course of any wars or win any peace prizes and still you feel the urge to write so much to establish with clinical precision why you're such a great sensitive guy and right after all. in the end the gaza genocide is providing you an opportunity to flaunt your intellect and "rational compassionate values" or whatever and we end up with these contrarian text-walls that try to look as meek as possible while also being calculated to put a pedestal under you. it's not about the facts of the external news, it's about your performance here and now.

you have a choice to make, abandon that ego, and with it the urge to seek out and exacerbate these moral conflicts on the internet which invariably leads to frustration when people push back because they aren't stupid (due to how naturally unconvincing the mixture of condescending and concerned is) or embrace it and go on to wonder if the far right has any openings left.
