While I do agree that some are beyond repair or rehabilitation, I disagree that the death penalty is the best way to deal with them. Even if proven to have done a crime worthy (such as with DNA), I firmly believe that it's the easy way out for a lot of offenders. Life in prison without the chance of rehab is a much worse punishment in my eyes. Additionally, in many countries, the death penalty is more expensive than just keeping someone in prison for life. The modern & "humane" ways to execute people are very expensive.
