It's a really weird symbol

The unicode explanation simply says "SIX POINTED STAR WITH MIDDLE DOT" (very helpful) (not)

Nah I was just legitimately confused by the phrasing. It having two meanings doesn't really qualify it as weird either imo. Lots of old symbols have had multiple meanings, I'd wager all of them even.
