In what world do you live that time sensitivity is never a thing? Also it's just a helluva lot easier sometimes to talk for one minute instead of write for 10 and still get the wrong tone.
Never a thing? It seems like you’re conflating what I have to do with what I want to do. I want freedom to answer at the time of my choosing. Doesn’t mean I’ll always get it, but that’s what I prefer

Ps being afraid of answering the phone is not a disability. I've had crippling social anxiety my whole life and don't love phone calls either but I don't make it my personality or anyone else's problem. If someone calls me I either answer or not. I don't seek approval for it being a tiny inconvenience (5 minutes of awkwardness at worst) I want to overblow.
