They’re already out trying to spin his win as a failure because he didn’t win by a big enough margin.

This guy is literally facing the camera saying “I’m not a socialist. I am a capitalist, who wants the rich to pay their fair share.” and the establishment is screeching communism.

Idk how it can’t be more plainly clear that we are in a class struggle against the ultra rich.

They won't mention the difference in funds between him and his opponent. She spent tens of millions of dollars more than he did, and she still lost.

    This is absolutely a win.

AP reported Israel (AIPAC) spent 30 million to defeat him.

I have seen all sorts of figures about this but I didn't have any on hand.

    Judging by https://votelog.org/investigations/michigan-senate-primary-money

    • Benefiting Haley Stevens: $63,297,069 (79.0%)
    • Benefiting Abdul El-Sayed: $16,836,368 (21.0%)

and the establishment is screeching communism.

    They always do that...

The difference, and why they're louder than usual, is because they no longer control the DNC.

The person who does, supports El-Sayed.

Abdul El-Sayed is a dedicated public servant who fought to make government work for Michigan families. Now, he is ready to take that fight to the U.S. Senate.

    Congratulations, Abdul! Let’s win this.

So stop calling them "the establishment", because they no longer control the DNC

Call them neoliberals and stop letting them make up a new label every six months

How is that quote showing support for him? It's literally just describing who El-Sayed is and what he's doing. He even gives the game away at the end with his "let us win this" line.

Remember when you posted Ken Martin's mission statement shortly after he took over? He said he wants to win above all else and this is just an extension of that mission. I doubt he really cares who it is doing the "winning" just so long as they have a "D" next to their name.

We've been calling then the establishment for decades, because that's what they are. I have no clue where you got the idea that calling them the establishment is some new thing that happened in the last six months

Just because someone else supposedly controls the DNC now doesn't magically make all the people behind the curtain disappear. The DNC is only part of the equation. The establishment is the establishment because they still hold all the most powerful public offices and because they control most of the donor money and media access.

The better question is why anyone would think that socialism would be considered a dirty word in the Rust Belt? If anything, they're helping him. Traditionally blue Michigan voted red in 2024 and it wasn't because Kamala Harris was too socialist.

Not a failure at all, but yes to quash the MAGAts these wins need to be decisive and unequivocal that the people want change. A win by 13 % is great it’s a win, but it’s not a message loud enough.

Let’s hope for the U.S.’s fate it continues the Republicans with Trump have done untold damage to your reputation that will take generations to repair if ever.

No trade deal signed with the U.S. is worth the paper it’s printed on.

The constant belief that the free market will make health care affordable.

The constant lies and untruths told by Republicans.

You want a sobering reminder of what large swaths of the U.S. are like? Watch “the good liars” on YouTube. The guys from the “daily show” go around talking to people. It’s funny but depressing to watch. These are the people you’re voting against.
