Did she actually highjack the plane? Going from the video it sounds like a bit of a hyperbole.

EDIT: Jesus fuck, no one actually provided anything to the contrary, just downvoted. Almost proving what I said elsewhere about lemmy's toxicity...

The term hijack has more uses than just describing the physical act of taking control of a vehicle by force. The use in the title matches the 2nd definition given here (example A specifically)

  • To take control of (something) without permission or authorization and use it for one's own purposes: dissidents who hijacked the town council; spammers who hijacked a computer network.

She seems to have hijacked/taken control of the passengers' attention. She didn't take control of the plane. Very, very important difference.

Definitely seems highly exaggerated. She looks so calm and collected, not screaming or making a fuss. She complied immediately. Seems a bit rash to throw her off the plane, just going off of this video. 🤨

Edit: bruh, I know she was probably disruptive before this, this is her own video after all, so she's acting right for her own shoot.

I'm on you guys' side lol.

Remember that we're only seeing the part AFTER the crew decided to intervene and remove her from the plane. We don't see what she did to trigger this response.

Yeah, that's why I said "just going off of this video". I can imagine she was being disruptive before this, especially since this seems to be her own video. I imagine she's acting goody when she is recording herself.

Thank you for the sane response instead of just down voting or cursing me out. Appreciate it. ❤️

Edit: lol, I'm agreeing with you, but still people are down voting. Makes no sense. 😆 Very Reddit moment.

So you realise the crew are privy to all of the buildup, which makes the following statements questionable:

    Definitely seems highly exaggerated

    .

Seems a bit rash to throw her off the plane, just going off of this video

This comes across as you insinutating there's no pretense, and that she's the victim; which is presumably why you were downvoted.

I'm not saying that was or wasn't your intent, just letting you know how it reads. There definitely are scenarios where people are unfairly ejected from flights, but this doesn't seem to be one of those situations, based on recent news shared.

Alright. Yeah, no, I'm definitely only intending for my message to convey only what my words are saying. Using words like "seems", etc. Please don't read into it what isn't there. 👍

Ah so everyone else is the problem? There's an old saying for that mate. "When you smell something everywhere you go, check your own shoes".

I didn't say that, no. Again you are putting words in my mouth. Please don't do that.
