dead man is pretty good, moody, cool, but it's a jarmusch movie so it's very slow and has long asides of side characters having improvised dialogue about nothing in particular that goes nowhere (but less so than other jarmusch movies). gary farmer is very good in it. johnny depp is okay, it's early arty johnny depp. crispin glover and robert mitchum are in it for 2 minutes each (in separate scenes) and are more memorable than depp.
