I'll take your word from it, but that's about laws. (And I understand law can be more complicated in a federation.)

However the US have ICE that just don't care about law. (Not better: FR has the BRAV-M and several police orgs to do the dirty work.)

At least one US judge was punished to have helped an "illegal immigrant" escape ICE because the targeted person wasn't convicted of illegal stay yet. (The judge knew: they were the one judging the case about the legality of ICE's target's presence in the US.)

    @PanGodofPanic And if we complain, nationalist tell us: "La France, tu l'aimes ou tu la quittes".
    It means "If you don't like France, leave France". They don't apply that to themselves except to escape taxes (Ex: Pierre-Édouard Stérin), or judicial consequences of their harmful actions (Ex: Thaïs d'Escufon).
