I'm well aware of the history of the Temple. I've read Joseph Laycock's Speak of the Devil, which is a chronicle of TST's first decade. I recommend that you read it as well, because you have a lot of misapprehensions about TST.

Then stop appropriating the iconography of their central villain.

It's not appropriation. Satan as a heroic figure also has a history that goes back hundreds of years into Romantic literature.

Besides, Christians didn't invent Satan. He came out of Jewish mythology.
