- For ripping Blu-ray discs, I remember finding that taking the time and effort to set up Automated Ripping Machine (ARM) was definitely the best software. But for ripping DVDs, there may be something even simpler. ARM handles the Blu-ray decryption and whatnot that other software does not handle well. But DVDs do not use encryption, so you may find it simpler to install some other quick DVD ripping software. With that said, ARM has features that make it great for ripping disc after disc after disc, so check out the README and determine if it might be worth the effort to get that set up.
