Shithead neighbor is a boomer retired GI of some sort. He married a woman from a poor village in an extremely rural part of Thailand and brought her back here. She is 35-40, he is 65 at least.

He refuses to cook. He refuses to clean. He refuses to raise their child. He won't mow his yard. He tries to get his wife to do it and if I happen to see her mowing I will go do it if I have time.

I think he married someone who was a tad naive about marriage. Or maybe a tad naive about marriage to an American GI. I think he intentionally brought someone from a far away land so she would be dependent upon him for everything.

She's a really good person, not that that matters I guess. We shoot the shit over the back fence until he invariably comes outside to shoo her inside the house. She has brought me cuttings of succulents. She has come over unexpected and brought me dinner for no reason. Sometimes she comes over and we sit on the tailgate of my truck and talk for a while when he is gone. I fix their plumbing issues for free because she is a great neighbor and a good person. Their daughter and my daughter are a few years apart but are fairly good friends and sit on the same bus seats together to school in the mornings.

The whole thing is really fucked up and I think he's a terrible human being, and a garbage neighbor. Fuck you Bryan.

ETA - this was brought about by an interaction I had with him today. They've been my neighbors since right before COVID lockdowns started.

Also, she is opening a Thai restaurant and I can't fucking wait to eat some more of the food she cooks.
