Rob Pownall revealed to Metro last week he was planning to stand in the vote in an effort to draw attention to the plight of British wildlife and Farage’s support for fox hunting.

Oh, I genuinely thought this was going to be a furry thing.

Every furry event I've ever been to is a non-profit event with the proceeds going to an animal or human rights organization, usually with a fundraiser auction at the end.

Oh, that's really sweet!

(To be clear: I'm not casting shade on furries with my comment, nor implying that there isn't an overlap between furry subculture and animal rights. I'm just saying that I was expecting the story here to be someone fursuitting on main and was surprised that it wasn't.)
