Watch Putin attack Finland to trigger NATO just because he can. He already knows he's finished. I don't think the Russian people or the oligarchs are very happy with him.

    They didn't mind him at least and let him run the country the way he wanted. He needs support from Russians to continue existing as their leader.

    Yeah sure, but he's not immortal or untouchable. Dictators can and has been removed from power previously.

    The smart one sure the dumb ones try and hang on to power longer than it's possible and then end up having to be killed in order to get rid of them.

    I have a feeling that Putin is too much of a control freak whoever just surrender power on his own. Nothing short of a military coup will deseat him

    They're in a bad position long-term. I get him trying to bring back some Soviet glory but didn't work out the way they expected. Now the only sliver of hope they have is snagging up those natural gas fields in Eastern Ukraine.
