We live in different Americas.

The mobile execution van, for me and many people in America, fits in the same category as above. "At least I would get healthcare and roads and a place to live."

In fact, I think the vans in China specifically are better than the American execution squads. At least in China they are publicly named for the purpose and there is a public trial.

In America you never know if this one today is going to execute you or not, and if they do it's without arrest or trial. It's just some unaccountable badge who's pissed off and can't get to his wife to take it out on because he's at work.

Which part of America do you live in, exactly? Because I looked out the window and there's no roving bands of murder cops deciding who's going to get blown away that day.
I mean yes you do see a lot of stuff on the news about cops shooting people for no reason (ACAB,) the last thing I'm going to do is defend the police. But there's a big difference between a cop shooting someone for a reason which may or may not be justified, and the state sending a van to your house to kill you. Those two things are not the same, and in no univese is the van better than the alternative.

May or may not be justified?! I'm sure some of the people China targets also "may or may" have deserved it in the exact same way!

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but we do have roving bands of murder cops who decide who to kill on a whim. We have literal gangs who hunt down and murder people for fun in our largest and most liberal cities, and cops from small towns are somehow even more terrifying. It is absolutely tone deaf to think our cops are a gotcha against any country.

If anything, the most disappointing thing about China is how well they seem to be following our playbook. Most of the evil things they do were done worse by America, and with everything in China that is genuinely worse than the US, we're quickly catching up. You cannot whataboutism China as an American; the US isn't even the winning side anymore.

No, the police are not "murdering people for fun." The cops ARE shooting people when it's not justified, and getting away with it. The way you're describing it is like it's out of a movie or something. You're literally ingesting all of the bad news that props up the 24hr news cycle and assuming real life is like an episode of Daredevil or something.
See, this puts me in the shitty position of actually having to defend the cops, which I will not do (because All Cops Are Bastards.) But I will say cops do not just blow people away "for the fun of it." That is simply not true.
And you know what else they don't do? Come to your house with a van, drag you outside, and kill you via lethal injection so your ogans can be harvested and sold on the black market. No, this evil thing is not "done worse by America." This is real life, not a movie.

I'm most familiar with LA's history of police gangs, but my understanding is they are not a total outlier. If anything, movies consistently downplay just how bad our police actually are, even when they take a critical stance on them. The copaganda is so pervasive that even people who dislike cops underestimate just how dire things are.

It's really upsetting that you're basically denying the lived reality of so many marginalized groups. I've met people who refuse to say ACAB that are less ignorant about our cops than you.

You understand that saying something positve about a person or institution does not mean you defend every single bad/illegal thing said person or institution has ever done, correct?

Not the one you live in. Clearly. It's closer to me than "a lot of stuff on the news" so I can't be so flippant about it. But, I can understand how if they're both just distant cries because the cops don't target you, you fear the one that has been yelled at you more in the news.

Edit: just out of curiosity I wanted to see the percentage of the population executed by China in a year. It's .00017143%

Cops in America kill .00038421% of the population every year. That's more than twice as many. Ice disappeared 4,000 people this last year, before they changed how it was recorded on their website so we couldn't track them like that anymore. That's .00104167%, a whole order of magnitude more than China.

Again, clearly it doesn't involve you, so I'm sure you don't care, but there's the facts.

In real life China accounts for an estimated 50% to 70% of all executions in the entire world. It's estimated because the actual number is not known, because China treats the number of people executed as a state secret. But it's not disputed that China executes more people than all of the other countries in the world combined.
in 2022, it's estimated China executed 8,000 people.
In 2022, there were 1,176 police shooting deaths in the United States.
So yeah, those are the actual facts

Anyway, 2022 was before the pedophile Nazis fucked the rails off the American system. Now compare numbers for 2025 for both countries and count every police street execution, and every human "missing" from ice custody. And use a third party for those numbers, don't trust America's reporting of it. Just like with China.

Also, as an aside, I'd like to point out that China executes billionaires and corrupt party officials. Can you name a single billionaire or wealthy person or lifetime politician in America who has been executed? Can you name one who served 10 years in prison? How about 4 years? How about 2 years? In this decade? In your lifetime?

The fact that anyone could look around at the pedonazifucks running America and having innocent teachers and nurses executed in the street without provocation or trial, and say bbbbb Choinah bad! Is crazy, and really points to the severity of the split between the type of Americans protected and served by this system, and the type of Americans crushed and destroyed by it.

Because it's wrong and misleading to try and claim that the police in the United states kill more people than the government of China executes, when in real life it's less than a fourth.
Also, we don't even know how many civilian deaths from police occur in China every year, because they don't even bother to record that information.

I'm not defending a Chinese or Communist ideology. I hold neither. I'm saying America and China are fascist, rapacious, colonizing, genociding, horror shows. While you're trying to say America isn't as bad as China, to make yourself feel better about your team of colonizers.

The best part has been watching over the last year as America goes mask-off. The America heads used to just label every source counter to their narrative, "enemy propaganda" and every fact too obvious, "the past". This leaves very little, like the fact that America has the world's largest prison population by far, but they're mostly POC so no America heads care.

Now though, it's the present, the source is your eyes and ears all around you, and you end up "not counting" what you see and hear.
