Found this comment on a post about how China is "doing capitalism better then the west, socialism is achieved through capitalism, etc".

I was expecting some weird takes in the thread, but this was beyond parody.

Westoids be like "they need money to live" but it's like they need food, shelter, and translated One Piece manga to live and if a robot can provide it then there's not much to do but what they please.

I'll say it again: automation in pursuit of more work to do sounds like infinite growth on a finite planet. It should be a wonderful thing when automation makes it so there's less work. I'm concerned what happens when the automation breaks down and it's hard to find a specialist to fix it. But that's different than the collective deciding to deprioritize feeding and sheltering everyone because it's cruel and it'll get us right back into this mire at "the end of history"

It simply does not sound just to me that you'd have to choose between hamstringing automation and some kind of mass destruction of humanity. Organization and communication is so easy to automate that a different system must take root.
