Signal is drawing a hard line on the federal government’s proposed surveillance legislation: comply with Bill C-22 or leave the country. It's refreshing to see this because it's so rare that there's any real pushback to the global race of countries attempting to strip their citizens of any remaining scrap of privacy.

    Which means we probably need to dig deeper because the reason will either be Canada is not paying enough or some other country compromised signal already and is refusing to allow Canada to also do it
