No it isn't. American troops aren't reliable for protection against authoritarianism now anyway

And Russia is about to lose to Ukraine, they certainly aren't going to beat the EU right afterwards.

Exactly. Viewing Russia as a legitimate threat any longer as a land power capable of executing a full scale peer to peer war is laughable.
