Why would they? They might accidentally settle their differences peacefully, and you can't make money from internet drama that way!
I've seen a few YouTube drama things go down where the person making the exposé is like "by the way, I reached out to him and asked him if he could clarify this or help to fix the situation so I don't have to go public with what I've found, he told me to die in a fire and that he intends to eat my legs" so the reasonable approach seems pretty hit or miss
