Technically correct. We hit 100% debt/GDP ratio in 2012. This headline is intended to manipulate you into thinking something that happened over a decade ago just happened.

We actually crossed 125% under Trump in 2020.

Shh. Democrats are perfect and anyone who suggests otherwise is a Russian.

Absolutely nobody is perfect and still almost everyone would be better as president than trump or his buddies.

NO ONE SAID TRUMP WAS BETTER.

You never want democrats to do anything but get worse and lose.

I'm not American. I don't really care about the broken two party rubbish they have.

I just want America to stop messing up so many things that make the whole world worse than it already is.

So do I. But we can't do that with one fascist party and one party that keeps appeasing fascists and losing.

So "at least they're second worst to trump now never criticize them" isn't helpful.

    I agree.

I still don't know how you came to the conclusion that I cared about the Democratic party.

Trum is measurably the worst and as a first step I would prefer anything less horrible.

Because hoping for a sudden true and proper party to emerge from nothing is pointless wishful thinking

I still don’t know how you came to the conclusion that I cared about the democratic party.

Because "trump is worse!" is unhelpful. He was worse when harris was running. He was worse when clinton was running. In both cases, we got stuck with a candidate who wasn't any good, but was at least second worst to trump.

In both cases, second worst wasn't good enough to win, and no amount of "but trump is worse!" changed that. If we want to beat fascism, second worst to fascism by as narrow a margin as possible can't get us there.

And taking advantage of trump being a fascist to force fash-lite on us lost. Twice.

So what can get you there? Because from the outside it appears the main reason Trump won was because of people not voting for Dems precisely because of this "they're barely better" attitude.

If I have to vote whether to get punched or stabbed I'm not going to avoid voting just because they're both bad and just hope everything works out and then maybe get stabbed anyway.

Whatever magical solution you believe in can be attempted under both governments. So what possible reason is there to attempt it under worse circumstances?

    Better candidates. Honest primaries.

Because from the outside it appears the main reason Trump won was because of people not voting for Dems precisely because of this “they’re barely better” attitude.

Yeah, everyone should refuse to accept the reality that democrats are second worst. Thet they keep getting worse. That they support genocide and refused to stop.

You got the genocide you dearly love. Nothing else will ever matter to you.

Democrats lost because they CHOSE to lose over telling netanyahu no.

Second worst is not enough to win. You can hate that reality all you want, but it's still the reality. Enjoy your genocide. Not that I have to encourage you.
