Yeah, sucks that the dnc decided the genocide of the Palestinian population, frac mining and also cracking down on immigration and funding ICE was more important than massive LGBT rights overhaul and universal healthcare overhaul. Damn lgbt leftists having morals !!!! Maybe in 2026 Gavin Newsom or Kamala Harris could capitulate MORE to the right, the same people they (rightfully) call fascists! Where can we bring Liz Cheney this time? Bring Bush Jr too!!!

Explain to me why I should vote for politicians sending billions to Israel, a genocidal country, when our country and our sovereign rights are literally eroding at home. I’ll wait. I vote for democrats every chance I get. Midterms and all.

Tell me, when I see the governor of my state running for VP (A man who’s campaign I supported btw) and he says on TV that he’ll “preemptively strike Iran” and his running mate, the current vice president of the country, saying we need to have the “strongest military force in the world” I’m supposed to support that? While democrats fund a genocide? Forget being worse in Gaza than Biden, Biden and his admin still destroyed the city and laughed about it to voters. They killed tens of thousands.

You really think young voters see that, see them touting around fucking DICK CHENEYS DAUGHTER, the Cheney family being one of the most evil families in my lifetime (look up the Wikipedia page for Halliburton Oil Company to get a start).

Seriously I have no interest in the “lesser evils” because everyone is lesser evil than Trump. That’s the most obvious to everyone but fascists. You can’t convince me that Imperial exploitation and genocide and war is ok if it’s not Trump in office doing it. Insult me all you want, doesn’t change reality.

I am a queer person and I know lots of queer people too and I will block you if you try to say anything gross about Palestine and LGBT rights. I’ve had enough of that and I don’t engage with it anymore

All I hear is you justifying why trump needed to win so that you could follow your morals.

Typical, that is very obviously not what I want. I want people to have free health care, free education and more. Show me where Trump wants that.

Show me how standing your ground prevented him from being elected.

What do you mean standing my ground? The state I live in is one of the only places where voting for democrats locally is actually worth it! How is it my fault as a single voter?! I already voted for them!!

In your state you have that power. At the federal level you have to do the least harm.

How is it my fault if I already voted for them though? It’s also the Democratic Party who’s responsible for, oh you know, the ENTIRE party? I’m literally only one vote. If it were my responsibility the republicans wouldn’t have won my city. Do you even understand what you’re talking about here?

You claimed responsibility in your previous comment. Time to let this conversation go and move on with your life.

And this is what, your attempt to make me feel like a loser? To make yourself not feel like one? I won’t move on, the DNC and liberals are trying to move on from their failures. Failure to codify roe v wade, failure to secure large scale legislation on free healthcare and schooling, failed on taxing the rich (even locally for me, mind you. Infact democrats locally, bipartisan are letting the richest inhabitants not pay taxes on new businesses and hotels). So even if I change one persons mind on holding the DNC accountable I win in my book. Please don’t shut your eyes to the lies the DNC is telling you. Make them earn our fucking votes for fucks sake. And then go outside.

it's your apparent anger that made me suggest leaving this conversation behind. You're making many assumptions and projecting a lot of emotion on others.

I don’t understand the need to keep poking at me. I have a point, if you don’t wanna hear it and you’re just gonna insult me personally then it’s not worth it for either of us. I’m talking about politics, not people’s feelings. People currently having children are telling me they think the US is gonna collapse into “fascist communist authoritarianism” within the next 10 years so excuse me for trying to reach ppl while taking shits before / at work

Yes both parties are shit, but they used to be a regular bucket of shit and a large bucket of shit so you could vote for a third party to avoid the shit knowing at worst you'd only get a large bucket of shit.

Now our options are a large bucket of shit and a mountain of shit, and you should vote to avoid the mountain of shit not to avoid all shit because even a large bucket of shit is more palatable than a mountain.

My point is that voting is the very very beginning of your political responsibility as a leftist. There is a lot more to do. And no I don’t mean financially support, I mean organization and community outreach. This should really be seen as something you do first and regardless of who is president. Donate money to your local food shelf if you can, & I mean every month.

Also don’t take what I say too seriously I’m just one guy, I just get annoyed when people bring up establishment democrats and act like if they were president all this would be better. My only gripe is with that rhetoric. You should be doing way more than voting. Like, yesterday.
