Small messes made by accident or carelessness, I get. I've probably left a shred of toilet paper, or had a paper towel miss an already over-full trash bin, or spilled water on the counters with the sinks, a few times. But intentionally wrecking the shitter, probably getting gross stuff on yourself in the process, just so someone, probably making minimum wage and absolutely not qualified for biohazards, has to clean it, or just so other people have to use a disgusting dirty bathroom? Sometimes its understandable if someone gets sick, like there's one dude with very obvious kidney stones if he misses, well he gets a pass since I found one the size of a pea before, another person eats a very poor high fat diet and blows up the bathroom near every day etc, another pass. Now the 'aritst' types make me think of zoochosis where you'd see animals in zoos behave profoundly unnaturally and psychologically unsoundly, I think cube farms are so oppressive and such a recreation of the panopticon along with so repressive of basic human instincts the bathroom is the only place they can be somewhat themselves for 2s supposedly unmonitored and have a forebrain/amygdala breakdown, they no longer gaf about the Kevin/Karen/whoever in the next cube flipping out writing lengthy emails to get the artists termed, even less about poor tamagotchi making a quarter above min wage who has to clean that and all the other joyous messes in 4hrs or else. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] alexei_1917@hexbear.net [S] 2 points 3 months ago* (1 child) You know, that does make sense, actually. I still don't get it, I've been in environments of surveillance and oppression where going to the ladies' room was the only way to be unmonitored for a minute, and I never had the urge to destroy said ladies' room, but I can umderstand how crushing pressure and anger at the company could lead to destroying the one room with no monitoring, thinking about the boss who's going to have to pay for biohazard mitigation, not the minimum wage janitor who's going to be expected to just clean it for their standard rate with their standard equipment. I'd been put into the school's isolation room for some incident I no longer recall, which was what it was and usually meant I just had to sit there until they called my mum and she'd come to get me, but this time, I had to pee. I told the teacher guarding the door that I had to pee. She didn't believe me. Said I just wanted to go to the girls' room to get out of the isolation room. I took off my trousers, pants, shoes, and socks, put them in the corner furthest from the door, then sat right aganst the door and peed. I then put my clothes and shoes back on, and when the teacher noticed the puddle under the door on the hallway side, she lost her absolute shit. Called the caretaker to clean it, and just as my mum finally got there, accused me of peeing on the floor to spite her and of pushing it under the door out the room with my shoe, which I did not do - I'd just sat right at the door and it naturally spread that way. And I didn't do it out of spite, so it wasn't really rage pissing - I just didn't know how long it'd be before my mum arrived and she'd make them let me access a toilet, and I thought it'd be better to deliberately pee on the floor and keep my clothes dry and some of my dignity intact, than hold it until I pissed myself. Though I will admit now as an adult, I did choose the spot where I sat out of spite, because I wanted the staff who threw me in that room and wouldn't let me go to the bathroom, to have to immediately see and smell the urine that ended up on the floor because of their poor choice. I'm honestly proud of little me for having enough good sense to preserve her trousers and dignity, and enough spite to piss the floor in the exact way she did, at just ten years old. I'd been put into the school's isolation room for some incident I no longer recall, which was what it was and usually meant I just had to sit there until they called my mum and she'd come to get me, but this time, I had to pee. I told the teacher guarding the door that I had to pee. She didn't believe me. Said I just wanted to go to the girls' room to get out of the isolation room. I took off my trousers, pants, shoes, and socks, put them in the corner furthest from the door, then sat right aganst the door and peed. I then put my clothes and shoes back on, and when the teacher noticed the puddle under the door on the hallway side, she lost her absolute shit. Called the caretaker to clean it, and just as my mum finally got there, accused me of peeing on the floor to spite her and of pushing it under the door out the room with my shoe, which I did not do - I'd just sat right at the door and it naturally spread that way. And I didn't do it out of spite, so it wasn't really rage pissing - I just didn't know how long it'd be before my mum arrived and she'd make them let me access a toilet, and I thought it'd be better to deliberately pee on the floor and keep my clothes dry and some of my dignity intact, than hold it until I pissed myself. Though I will admit now as an adult, I did choose the spot where I sat out of spite, because I wanted the staff who threw me in that room and wouldn't let me go to the bathroom, to have to immediately see and smell the urine that ended up on the floor because of their poor choice. I'm honestly proud of little me for having enough good sense to preserve her trousers and dignity, and enough spite to piss the floor in the exact way she did, at just ten years old. I have known a lot of ten year olds who would have held it until they couldn't or thrown a different kind of tantrum or just cried. ⓘ This user is suspected of being a bear.
