this WSJ agitator is trying to goad tRump into further attacks against Iran. He’s pushing our Dear Leader to continue the war, to look for violence and perhaps towiden the US involvement in Middle Eastern affairs. Fuck that and fuck him.

I've tried...

But I just can't understand how anyone would logically come to that conclusion.

Are you really saying journalists can't criticize trump for acting crazy because he'd act crazy?

There's got to be something I'm missing here, because there's no way that's a popular opinion.

Have you tried to read the article maybe?

"In a separate article, Kaufman argued recently that Iran’s regime had “swindled” Trump three times – repeatedly promising to reopen the strait before closing it again to extract further concessions from Washington."

That's a twist on the facts. Iran didn't swindle Trump or extract concessions, their closing of the strait is in self defense in direct response to Trump's illegal war, the slaughtering of their children, the destruction of their infrastructure, the assassination of their leaders, and the threats to kill an entire civilization.

Kaufman is not arguing that Trump is an idiot, they're arguing that Trump is not attacking Iran good enough.

They're not criticizing Trump for acting crazy, they're criticizing him for extending a cease-fire. Trump is obviously a crazy piece of shit who needs to be removed for a million different reasons, but keeping this cease-fire going isn't one of them.

I think your confused...

Maybe because you didn't read the article, and just what trump said about. I hope that's not true, but I think it is.
