My big issue is American Christians tbh. The rest are a mixed bag, but every yank religious type I've met has been some sort of merchantile baptist

    We've got some cool Christians on here actually they just keep a low profile. There's even a history of left wing activism in the church here in the US. Nuns and priests used to break in to draft offices to burn registration cards. Jessica Rezniceck is a Catholic worker.

    They don't get a lot of press obviously bc chuds vastly outnumber them but I wouldn't paint with so broad of a brush

    Yeah, yeah. And Oskar Schindler is listed as Righteous Among the Nations. The record of the Catholic church is still one of largely genocide and oppression. Those Catholics are still choosing to associate themselves with a deeply evil, regressive organisation.

    I don't hate individual Catholics/members of other churches who nevertheless choose to do good, but those organisations are absolutely indefensible regardless.
