No... They came with their wallet, and are attempting to purchase the rights so they can monetize it. They'll put ads all over it.
If they just wanted to preserve it, they'd hold the domain and keep it pointing at the original server and offer to give the domain back. They want to preserve its fanfare but they want to own it.
There's nothing peaceful about this.
If it is that easy, why don't you prove it by purchasing zombo.comm and reviving the original? Anything is possible
