Plug in hybrids are shit BTW, just go for regular hybrid or full electric.

It depends on the plug-in hybrid. Mine has a big enough battery that it runs as an EV until you run out of battery (usually after 40 miles). Works great for day to day city driving where I regularly get 1000 miles before having to refuel. And if you are doing long road drives, acts as a standard gas powered vehicle.

You are right, plug in hybrids are shit but normal hybrids are shittier. No car >>>>>> EV>plug in> ICE (this includes hybrids)

Again, anything is better than ICE

Plugless hybrids are ICEs that need more resources to be produced. They are a marketing lie.

Eh. My Prius is almost 20 years old. I'd rather keep driving it than buy a new vehicle, even if the new vehicle took less resources to produce. I'm well past the break-even point.

Why? Isn't it nice to be able to go to the store and back with no gas?

The manufacturers lied their asses off about how efficient they actually are from what I've read.

As a daily driver of a 19 volt I can confidently say I only buy gas if I go out of town. My standard driving never goes above the ~40 miles of full electric range.

This is why I love bicycles. Be careful if you never ever use the fuel though, you might need to add a stabilizer or something if it goes unused for too long.
