Any good European producers of non enamelled cast iron kitchenware?

From this list (which I am going to save, because I hadn’t come across it before):

  • AUS-ION 🇦🇺
  • Le Creuset 🇫🇷
  • Skeppshult 🇸🇪
  • Staub 🇫🇷 (some produced in 🇨🇳)
  • The Windmill Cast Iron 🇳🇱 (produced in 🇨🇳)
  • Victoria Cookware 🇨🇦

Isn't Le Creuset only enamelled cast iron? They have a shop near me and the windows are full of a rainbow selection of different coloured enamelled pans. Victoria their pans are printed with made in Colombia but interesting to know its a Canadian owner. Will take a look at some of the others.

Le Creuset

They make non-enameled products, but they are most known for their really nice (and expensive) enameled stuff.

I think they have some un-enameled stuff too

I have a frying pan set from them, made in Portugal.

It works as you would expect any frying pans to work. The stainless steel pan has some core to distribute heat.

I can't say yet if it's good or not because it's my first cast iron skillet and I've had it for a bit less than half a year, but so far I'm very happy with Maku and the price is good compared to some others I've seen on sale. Family-owned Finnish company based in Tampere, but also available here in Estonia. Don't know about their availability in other countries.

From their "Sustainability" page:

Maku products are manufactured in Europe, Finland and the Far East in factories that, if located in a high-risk country, are committed to the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct by signing the document or are audited by a third party. We use the amfori Country Risk Classification as our risk country classification.

Edit: Now looking at it apparently it is enamelled cast iron.

I know nothing about this company but the statement that all is good because some manager has signed a document is a bit ridiculous

Oh I just copied that bit along with the bit that some shit is still made in Finland, to convey that not all of it is.
