People don't realize what the score is. Not on the right, and certainly not the sheep of the democratic party. The actual left tends to, but are shut out of government and business and the bureaucracy and the like almost entirely. Put upon by both parties, the democrats still see losing control of the party to the left as the danger, even as the administration is gearing up to hit the dem establishment with false vote rigging federal cases the fall after next or so.

It's not looking good, any patriotism has bled away with the realization that the democrats weren't going to restore anything, weren't going to enforce the law against a coup and election rigging in plain sight. It's inevitable the republicans will fix elections with these dems and that's why everyone gave up last year. It's only regular people that don't know it yet.

    Thank you. The 2024 election was obviously rigged, they talked openly about it, as they were doing it. The MAGA comedy act of Schmuck & Jeffries decided to ignore it, and here we fucking are.

    I was just arguing with a bunch of idiots about the same thing. As long as they keep allowing these MAGA Dems run the show, they're never going to get the country back, and it's work camps for everybody that's permanently unemployed by AI or Robotics, has too much debt, needs Food Assistance, Social Security, etc.. You need anything from the government, you can work it off in the camps, where you will be leased to a corporation as a slave.

    Pretty sure 2020 was rigged too (which is why Trump was so sure of it: it was incomprehensible to him that he rigged it and still managed to lose anyway), which means the Democrats had a full half-decade to do something about it and set around with their thumbs up their asses instead.

    Yeah, that was kind of hilarious. He lost, but he really couldn't talk about it, because what was he supposed to say? I cheated like a motherfucker, and I still lost, so he must be a bigger cheater, and in that moment, in his festering, weeping boil he calls a brain, his own cheating is excused, because Biden must be worse. Except he can't really say it, but it was evident in his frustration every time he talked about. He wanted to scream: "I know he cheated because I cheated, and he beat me, so HE'S the bigger cheater, let's all get mad at HIM for cheating!"

    Except, Biden didn't cheat, Trump was just so hated that the vote for Biden overwhelmed his cheating strategy. They were much more careful to have a working strategy in 2024, just changing the top name on the ballot in only seven swing states. Somehow, the most reviled candidate in America. history won all seven swing states, a near statistical impossibility.

    I fear a type of feudalism, if they do manage to fix elections securely, and topple blue states and fix them, that after the economy collapses, after they max out the borrowing capacity of the country, as jobs no longer pay for life, people will just walk away from those jobs, and to keep the money flowing they will bind people to their jobs. Maybe those that owe money at first, later everyone, and restart feudalism.

    But technology is the wild card in that, they won't need half the country to work if their machines take over, which will lessen economic activity which will lessen jobs available even more and so forth. Drones can provide security to a large degree. The threats to their power will come from other oligarchs/connected people, not the common people that don't own military capable drones.

    Speaking of which, those NJ drones in 2024 I think were a federal policing force they are building out, privately run or not idk. But that is our future unless we get a New Deal. One more chance, in the Succession, to take it back while they knife fight in the viper nest for supreme leader. We will throw our chance away with Newsome. Jon Stewart could probably take it, but really he's not cut throat enough, and trusts the establishment too much. We need someone that knows how to build and run a political machine. But we need new candidates up and down the ballot, not all progressive either, we need popular reform, fit to their districts, that cooperate on what they agree on, like working people not getting fucked by the super rich without their consent.

    After they get a new leader, rigging the election every way they can already, they will have the fix in so tight the only challenges will be able to come within the party, and even then, well it's like Russia basically.

    I think you are 100% right, with one clarification: Slavery.

    The most corrupt, violent agency in our government is building large holding facilities all over the country, and even a 30,000 bed facility in Guantanamo Bay. They are planning on locking up a LOT of people in the future, and they are going to run out of immigrants before long. Does anyone believe that after the "immigration problem" is fixed, they will sell off those facilities, and draw down their forces? No, governments don't work like that.

    We are approaching a crossroads in America, as AI and Robotics take off, and put a lot of people out of work. They want this very, very badly, and all their excitement and worry about AI carries a very clear underlying message: we can't wait to make all you terrible human worker drones permanently unemployed.

    In fact, there is a giant bubble, and if their fantasies of Ai dominance, and the end of human employment, DON'T come true, then that bubble is going pop, and we're going to see a repeat of 2008. They are betting hard on destroying as many jobs as possible. As workers, we are screwed either way, and NOBODY is speaking up for us.

    And when that happens, when every fast food restaurant is fully automated, every ride share vehicle is driverless, every truck shipment is driverless, x-rays are read by AI, etc. we are going to have a PERMANENT unemployment rate of 50%, or perhaps even higher. It will be necessary to have some sort of UBI, or assistance with housing and food.

    And MAGA will be happy to help. Anyone unemployed, with too much debt, who needs government assistance, etc. will all have to go to the work camps, where they will be leased out to corporations as slaves, per the 13th Amendment.

    THAT'S the future of America. We don't do feudalism here, we do straight up SLAVERY, except they'll call it the generosity of the US Government, giving you money, supplying your basic needs, but also instilling a MAGA sense of work ethic as well. Slavery is good for you, Arbeit macht frei.

    In the more near term, scotus forbade nationwide injunctions, so there is nothing to prevent the feds from disappearing people into camps, frustrating habeous corpus and outright denying it. Making it impossible to file for relief, shuffling people to districts with judges friendly to them. They can jam up class actions and other cases to overturn abuses, and irreperable harm results before even the lucky can get judicial relief.

    It was truly a great betrayal that the media didn't recognize. Without injunctions there is nothing to prevent systematic violations of our rights and laws. Mass unrest that is sure to result from their machinations, in stealing elections and everything else, will be met my specialized federal units to target protesters, which they are building out. To say nothing of homeland security now with more money than every military in the world save two. Running around with assault rifles on the streets like this is the balkans or something.

    Nationalizing the guards, bringing in the guards from other states, something congress gave the president more lattitude to do around 2009, by the democrats no less, if he calls an emergency, a unilateral designation, removes the power for states to do resist. The guard in general they will have guarding street corners, their handpicked partizans in their specialized units will be doing the dirty work, and they will have no shortage of them it appears.

    So yeah, they are totally planning on disappearing people to camps, american citizens, and from there, well we know how that will work out.

    Which is why we need to think about protesting in new ways. These non violent marches and the like just expose us without doing much in today's environment. We need to find ways to organize, and protest in ways like general strikes, and otherwise act in concert, off of our own forums not on silicon valley sites where government and business has their hooks in them. Because following the current script we are doomed, and the fascists too, they have no idea how this is going to turn out, it's not something they would want either if they understood.

    I'm not a fan of general strikes, they hurt us far more than it hurts them.

    I like government shutdowns. I was all for letting last fall's full shutdown to last until the Midterms. Cut off their oxygen and strangle them. We could have made the entire Democratic Campaign for Congress a massive food and health care drive for the next year, and showed the voters who really cares. In the meantime, MAGA is SHUT DOWN.

    But as soon as the shutdown hit the airports, and the Democratic campaign donors couldn't move their operatives around the country, the MAGA comedy act of Schmuck & Jeffries folded, and gave MAGA everything they wanted, and got literally NOTHING in return.

    We need to shut down the MAGA government, and take whatever pain that comes with it, because the future pain of an authoritarian MAGA government will be far, far worse.

    We haven't had a general strike. So while you may not appreciate the half hearted attempts at starting them, we haven't seen one yet.

    In Ancient Rome, the republic only lasted as long as it did because the Plebians decamped one of their 7 hills and refused to work until their demands were met. in 500 bc, and again in 350 bc. In the first getting a written set of laws, before the rich just made shit up as they went, the 12 tables. But importantly also establishing the Tribunate. People's tribunes were elected by the Tribes, they got 3 in 500 bc, expanded to like 7 or I forget in 350 BC. Tribunes had veto power over the senate, were sacrosanct, and could give sanctuary.

    Anyway each time they tried everything to get them back to work, and the plebians stuck to their demands, and won them. The power in them, we aren's massing neccessarily, we aren't marching on buildings necessarily, we are just not showing up for work. If we want we can do it in a way that prevents the feds and their state allies from abusing us physically at least. Attempts to crush any protests that do happen traditionally have the effect of spreading the strikes as well, looking back to the 20th century.

    Strikes are our only real weapon. Shut downs are not, because the democrats won't win a game of chicken. They haven't won one yet and won't start now, they were chosen to be weak. Not only that, the government already has more money than they can spend, and the courts have already allowed the president to take money allocated for one thing and use it for another, and there is a trillion dollars sitting with the military for them to dip into, on top of the 180 billion for homeland security (and they are adding more on top of that right now, and more for Ice,) and 60 billion for Ice or whatever it was.

    Besides, the reason for being of these democrats is not the common good, or preventing fascists from seizing control and putting a fix in, it's preventing popular reform, playing good cop to R bad cop for the plutocracy as they take what is ours, and extracting money from the government for their pals. It's never been more clear. Any fight that depends on democrats leading it is doomed to fail by design. The only way to shut things down is with strikes, and we don't have to picket, we can just not work.

    I completely understand what you are saying, but your ENTIRE argument hinges on this statement:

    We have to stop accepting this bullshit. We need to give the MAGA comedy act of Schmuck & Jeffries the hook, and drag them off stage. We have a growing contingent of strong, moral, decent Progressives who are quickly gaining in strength and popularity, and the Midterms are going to see a whole lot more come on board.

    MAGA started in the 90s, when hard right Republicans, inspired by Rush Limbaugh's rhetoric, won Congress, and started infiltrating the Republican party. By the time Obama arrived, they'd become the proto-MAGA Tea Party, and thing started to get really squirrelly. Then MAGA fully took over the party, and officially killed the Republican Party, which is as dead as the Whigs, and should only be referred to in a scholarly, historical context. They are ALL MAGA now.

    The Progressives have to do the same thing to the Democratic Party. They need to take it over and be extremely aggressive about leading it. We can't just surrender the vehicle that we need in the upcoming political Demolition Derby that's coming, or the MAGA vehicle (probably a SwastiKKKar), will run right over us.

    You're right, we can't win with the current Democratic Party, we ALL acknowledge that, so the solution is to armor our Democratic vehicle, get the best leaders, and the angriest citizens, and go to war with MAGA. We face unprecedented problems, and we require unprecedented solutions. We can't just fall back on old bad ideas, and old bad defenses. Obviously, what we did in the past didn't work, so let's stop assuming they are the only defenses against MAGA. The old ways didn't work, so let's create NEW strategies, and not just surrender in advance because Dems won't fight for us.

    They are our Army, FORCE them to fight for us.

    We have to replace all the leaders, but the majority will go with the tide when we get populist alternatives. But the Jeffries, Schumers, superdelegates, consultants, party chairs, fundraising chiefs, fundraisers, all need to go. They are collectively the problem. Leaving them in position weakens the party, and make no mistake they will throw the election before losing control of it. If a populist won the nomination over their furious machinations, they would sue, and start their own party, taking their lists with them, draining accounts of money, and running a third party bid themselves.

    Let them, they can get a taste of their own medicine for a change. They only barely win primaries as the safe choice, there are precious few that actually like them and aren't just supporting them because they have something to gain. When they can't seemingly produce those benefits their support will collapse.

    That said, this current environment started further back, 1971. The Business Roundtable saw a few super rich companies huddle up and make a long game to take over the republic, and kill the new deal and resulting gains of the working class and their unions and resulting rights and power working people clawed from their ancestors.

    That was the first iteration, they refined it going forward, but since then they've been on a game plan, cooperating on what they agree on, and keeping their opponents divided and destroying any rival organizations was key amongst those things. Infecting unions with organized crime, then federal law enforcement; fostering a crime wave and The Fear to create a police state and upend constitutional rights; corrupting academia and our conversations, like changing the CPI to understate inflation, 5-8 under the old unfucked number counting, 2-3 under the new ones, 50 years running now ss checks would've been worth 1,300 more a month just by 2008 on average under the old counting to give you an idea.

    There is too much to go through, but this is all a concerted effort, and we set against each other and our institutions destroyed if they couldn't be co-opted and captured like the democratic party, and our regulatory agencies in both the federal and state governments. The courts deserve a mention obviously, the federalist society was wildly successful, grooming law students for service to the party and judgeships, and was able to overcome the traditional path of judges to side with the country and the law after appointment no matter which party appointed them, a source of considerable frustration to the republicans around the 1970s as their appointees were often the most progressive despite showing signs of being sold out hacks when appointed.

    The federalist society got like 2 billion dollars just from one donor a few years ago, and the founder, Leonard Leo, says he's making a "federalist society for everything." Meanwhile Turning point is being appointed censor of colleges and k-12 where it can get it, grooming the willing, planning on informing on students and teachers, and otherwise gearing up to be the hitler youth. (Fun fact, Kirk rejected the Israel faction's two appointees to his board and rejected their vision for the organization, then was shot, the story is patently false though, that rifle would've turned his neck into hamburger with a fist sized exit wound as gun enthusiasts have demonstrated. The story is off in other ways, so they are lying, covering for someone, lending credibility to Israel's faction doing it, and his widow has since embraced their vision so we will find out where they are going.)

    Anyway sorry I'm going off on tangents, but the genesis for this all was 1971, and they wanted these things before, but that was when a large group cooperated together on achieving them and succeeded wildly.

    The left doesn't realize theyre not as popular as they think. Otherwise they could easily overpower the actual people who vote in primaries for centrist candidates. Like AOC, mamdani, etc.

    Either theyre not that popular or theyre lazy. Same result. Maybe leftists would be wise to figure out which and fix that because blaming somehow the all powerful but seemingly inept DNC for all their woes is clearly not working.

    Your problem is you are measuring from inside the asshole of the billionaires. The trail turns center right and center left, but the ultimate outcome is the same. The only direction that matters is straight backwards.

    You wouldn't know what popular reform is popular because "the left," and real populism, is completely shut out of politics. Your argument is really too ignorant to further refute, everyone knows they are being screwed, the right is the only one promising to do anything about it, and the left is entirely suppressed, as are any true populist movements in general. Only billionaire fake populism is allowed to fester.

    What a load of garbage, to speak frankly. Leftists never seem short of ideas or excuses for why they fail to inspire people to vote for them. It's always someone else's fault. Somehow the right can garner votes and convince people of things. Somehow they can get power and enact change. But the left? You have AOC and Mamdani to start. But the left NEVER seems to figure out why they can't really inspire people to come out and vote for them.

    It's a bunch of horseshit. You did it with those two, why not other races? Turnout for primaries is generally 30% or so. That is nothing. It would be extremely easy to overcome the inertia in the party if people just actually went and voted but the left, again, never runs out of excuses as to why that can't be done. Hell, Zohran DID THAT. The primary turnout wasn't even stupendously high and he increased it enough to easily win the primary.

    No- the problem is that people like you don't want to face facts. My last statement is entirely accurate and all you people ever do is downvote it because it's an uncomfortable truth that you have no answer for. I'm telling you and the rest of the "left" to get your shit together and fix it. Stop blaming everyone else for your own inability to inspire actual change.

    Every accusation is a confession. You wouldn't know what leftists can inspire or not because they've been completely shut out of politics for longer than we have been alive, with few exceptions, and vanishingly rare exceptions for white popular reformers. Call it left or right, I call it backwards, out of the asshole of the billionaires.

    It's not left, or right, believing working people shouldn't get cheated by the rich, and anti trust laws enforced. Everyone agreed on that before big business conspired to take over both parties and replace them with good cop bad cop, even as bad cop is now playing hitler and big business doesn't see how a supreme leader will destroy them, and stop them before it's too late as the monster they created is already escaping their control.

    Not the democrats though, that is firmly in control of the billionaires, and their reason for being is crushing popular reform in the cradle. There is not a single white person pushing popular reform in congress, or governorship. Why not? Why has there been zero challenges to leadership of the senate, or house, for decades, and little to no challenge for president despite doomed to fail status of the chosen candidate?

    No, you wouldn't know how popular popular reform is, and every accusation is a confession in regards to this horseshit you just brought to me.

    Not an agitator. Just tired of the rhetoric that theyre oh so smart and have it all figured out but damn, the only thing they can't do is win any political power because XYZ.

    Kind of like the opening of that show the newsroom or whatever it was. Just all the time here.
