I found this little substack article that lists out alternatives. The timing is is great & I hope it helps people out.

    At what point are we going to take responsibility and take action collectively to punish these mainstream platforms ?

    Also this https://taggart-tech.com/discord-alternatives/ which is much more detailed and focuses on decentralised discord-like apps

    Matrix and XMPP based apps wont cut it for most Discord users. Guilded was taken offline in December. Revolt is now called stoat.chat and is so far the most promising alternative for Discord.
