A reminder that as the US continues to threaten countries around the world, fedposting is to be very much avoided (even with qualifiers like "in Minecraft") and comments containing it will be removed.

Get it? "Revolting" is a double entendre! Anyway...

As the Trump administration continues to accelerate the flagrant disregard of "international law", we have seen various European leaders flock to China (alongside Canada), seeking deals. Some trips have been more successful than others - for example, Macron's was fairly dire despite his lavish reception by Xi Jinping, but Starmer's resulted in some actual deals and tariff reductions. The intent of this wave of diplomacy with China is clear: leverage.

Nobody should be fooled into thinking this revolt immediately benefits the developing world, of course. While a relative weakening of the US compared to Europe is progressive in a limited sense (insofar as the US is the locus of imperialism), every indication shows that, when it matters, the European consensus remains aligned in most respects with the US, such as with them and the Zionist entity against Iran, against national sovereignty in Africa (e.g. ECOWAS), as well as in Latin America (either in support or not sufficiently opposing American designs there against Cuba and Venezuela, to name but two countries). It is also unclear how long such a divide will last - perhaps Trump leaving office in 2028 and a slightly less bellicose leader in power will result in many cancelled deals with China.

Despite the very shaky initial steps over the past couple years, Europe still has many miles it must traverse to achieve sovereignty, let alone socialism. For now, it will cheer on the sanctions against millions of vulnerable people and incoming bombing of Iran and Hezbollah, though perhaps it will also share a degree of the economic/military retaliation.

Norway's monarchy is in deep crisis. Just as the crown princess' son from a previous marriage is about to stand trial on multiple cases ofremoved and partner abuse, newly released Epstein files shows that the crown princess has lied about the extent of her connections to the international elite pedophile. Crown princess Mette Marit maintained extensive correspondence with Epstein, including on sexual topics, even after his conviction and lived in his mansion for several days in 2013.

Norwegians social is distancing themselves from her. The organisation Sex and Society has ended her patronage of the "Shameless Prize", an award fighting sexual stigmatization and the Norwegian Red Cross has signalled that they are considering the future of her collaboration with them. Polls shows that most Norwegians do not want her as queen.

With the current king being old and in bad health, the question of succession is not a hypothetical one and his son crown prince Haakon might soon become king, making crown princess Mette Marit queen. It has been suggested by commentators that Mette Marit might get the same kind of deal prince Andrew got and get stripped of her titles and roles and removed from public life. Although the Norwegian parliament recently voted down a motion to end the monarchy, a motion that is brought forward by the left at the start of every session, it remains an open question if the Norwegian monarchy can survive having a king who is married to someone who can't show her face in public because everybody hates her.

The Norwegian state is considering an open-ended investigation into Norwegians who were complicit in Epstein's crimes. An ambassador has already lost his job. The worst might still be to come for Norway's royal family.

Norway’s crown princess had years of contact with Epstein, files suggest (The Guardian)

Mette-Marit apologises for ‘poor judgment’ as documents reportedly include scores of email exchanges with child sex offender

Norway’s crown princess has become embroiled in another scandal after newly unsealed files appeared to show her years of extensive contact with the late child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The latest tranche of Epstein files, released on Friday by the US justice department, appear to include nearly 1,000 mentions of the crown princess, Mette-Marit.

The files include scores of emails traded between the two, suggesting they were in contact from 2011 to 2014, the Norwegian daily VG reported. Mette-Marit married the future king of Norway in 2001.

The revelations come at a sensitive time for the royal family. The trial of Mette-Marit’s son, Marius Borg Høiby forremoved is due to begin on Tuesday. He was born from a relationship before she married Crown Prince Haakon

Høiby is facing 38 charges, including the allegedremoved of four women as well as alleged assault and drug offences. If convicted he could face up to 16 years in prison. Høiby has denied the most serious charges, including those of sexual abuse.

On Saturday, Mette-Marit addressed her relationship with Epstein, who killed himself in jail in 2019 as he awaited trial for sex crimes against minors.

“I showed poor judgment and I deeply regret having had any contact with Epstein. It is simply embarrassing,” she said in a statement issued by the royal palace.

The Norwegian media’s attention was this weekend focused on the many emails that the princess exchanged with Epstein, years after he pleaded guilty to charges that included soliciting prostitution from a minor in Florida.

The emails contained in the files suggested the two were close, with Mette-Marit telling Epstein that “you tickle my brain” in one message and calling him “soft hearted” and “such a sweetheart” in others.

In 2012, Mette-Marit told Epstein he was “very charming” and asked if it was “inappropriate for a mother to suggest two naked women carrying a surfboard for my 15 yr old sons wallpaper?”

Weeks earlier she and Epstein had traded emails about him being on a “wife hunt” in Paris. She replied that the French capital was “good for adultery” and added that “Scandis (are) better wife material”.

In another, she thanked Epstein for flowers he had sent when she was feeling unwell, signing off with “Love, Mm.”

The exchanges regularly made mention of plans to get together, while files indicate she also stayed at his house in Palm Beach, Florida, for four days in 2013 when Epstein was not there.

Inclusion in the files does not imply wrongdoing.

In her statement on Saturday, Mette-Marit, 52, expressed her “deep sympathy and solidarity” with Epstein’s victims and said she was responsible “for not having checked Epstein’s background more closely and not understanding quickly enough what kind of person he was”.

The files, however, include a 2011 exchange in which Mette-Marit told Epstein that she had “Googled” him, adding “it didn’t look too good” along with a smiling emoji. The email did not specify what she had found during her online search.

The palace said Mette-Marit had ended written contact with Epstein in 2014 as she felt he was “trying to use his relationship with the crown princess as leverage with other people”.

As the seven-week trial of her son gets under way in Oslo, the royal couple are not expected to attend. Haakon has told reporters that Mette-Marit would be away on a private trip during that period.

Høiby does not have a royal title and is outside the line of royal succession. Earlier this year, the Norwegian royal court addressed the trial in a statement, saying: “It is for the courts to consider this matter and reach a decision. We have no further comment.”

Side note, how the fuck did this guy have so much time to just send emails all day, on top of his job being a paedospy? No wonder his spelling was ass he had like 30 seconds per compromat to spare

Incredible how it seems like the release of the files has had some degree of impact in other countries, but I have a very strong feeling that it will do literally nothing to the US political system.

Also,

Although the Norwegian parliament recently voted down a motion to end the monarchy, a motion that is brought forward by the left at the start of every session

This dude might be one of the most successful spies of all time aside from the getting caught and all this exploding part.

Or he's rather mundane and typical and this is just how the ruling class is, utmost demons
