So, suppose we lived in a sexist society where oppression of women was normal, and not seen as a problem, as divisive, or as a dispute by most people. In this hypothetical society, if a woman were to say "misogyny is bad", and to be perceived as sowing division and starting disputes, then would she be considered a wrecker? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 9 child comments replies: [+] RoomAndBored@hexbear.net 24 points 3 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (4 children) [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] DroneRights@hexbear.net [S] 1 point 3 years ago (3 children) I mean what if she said that as a member of society? What if the mainstream left and the mainstream right in her society were both misogynist and there weren't any non-misogynist spaces anywhere? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 3 child comments replies: [+] RoomAndBored@hexbear.net 17 points 3 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (2 children) [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] DroneRights@hexbear.net [S] 1 point 3 years ago (1 child) So you're saying that if society in its entirety is hostile and oppressive to a minority, then existing as a member of that minority and demanding rights isn't wrecking?
