Your comment is not the worst, hold your chin up permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] starelfsc2@sh.itjust.works 1 point 8 months ago (1 child) No one in this whole reply chain said that. Even if they did, I usually interpret people's words, so when someone says "sitting at the table with a nazi makes you a nazi" it means to me "not fighting evil makes you complicit in that evil." If they mean it literally makes you a nazi, then they are wrong, but I usually assume people aren't saying things that are insane since everyone I have talked to when asked has said the 1st one. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Mulligrubs@lemmy.world 1 point 8 months ago* No one in this whole reply chain said that. I didn't claim anyone here did at any time, it is a well-known talking point for some people at some times that is frequently used in Nazi discussions on the television and internet and in person. I thought you knew that?!? We agree, it is insane and it's defended as literal all. the. time. I've ignored this for years, now I just go with it to an absurd degree. I am not being literal, just like the phrase shouldn't be literal. I think this is funny, I apologize if it's boring to you. permalink fedilink source parent
