I found one sample of that in lemmy.world - check the picture in the comments, and specially the upvotes in the picture.

Yes - I love how the guy tries to act all innocent and like he doesn’t understand why anyone wouldn’t want that kind of content.

Yup.

In that specific case, I think that defederation is the right approach. It isn't just some "random Nazi walking there", nor something that the community itself could reasonably confront; by far and large the community seems to support an alt right discourse.
