    Listen I hate trump being a word salad clown more than average but this was barely a recognizable impression of an Indian. I'm super disappointed and I was shredded to find out it wasn't even on the level of trump making fun of the handicap. It was like watching an episode of Jerry Seinfeld doing the stand-up intro to his show. Perhaps less racist than that.

    Not a thing the President of the United States should be doing, but that was nothing, at all. He imitated the man, for a single phrase, nothing outlandish. I do that all the time telling stories of personal interactions.

    Anyway, we'll both be banned from lemmy for "inciting racism" or some such. 🤷🏻

    The hell are you on about?! I'm merely stating that little imitation was nothing to get up in arms about. Did you actually watch the video? I had expected something utterly heinous.

    FFS, the prime minister of Japan chased Trump around a palace today, corralling him like a toddler. Then he ranted to our seamen about fucking magnets. I can hardly be upset that he quoted Modi in his actual accent.

    Perhaps you should think both things are bad and completely bizarre thing for a leader of a country to do? You should stop becoming normalised to his weirdness. It is not normal, and never will be.
