A lot of people welcomed big box stores and conglomerates into their neighborhoods, and not just for the lower prices.

    Now it makes me think of all the time people said to support local businesses and I was confused because all they did was resell things from literally the nearby supermarket (for which I briefly worked so I know for a fact) at a higher price. It's just all capitalism. :(
