I hate how my ability to care about the struggles of white people seems to be diminishing a lot, even if they're legitimate struggles.
For example, seeing white queer people complain about queerphobic legislation just doesn't bother me anymore, even though I'd be impacted by that very legislation.
The legislation does concern me, yes, but the white complaints about it? I don't care what they have to say because I can't get over how common it is for white people to only care about injustice insofar as it goes after them personally.
These same white queer people would never give a damn about anything pertaining to systemic racism, and if they posted some tweet saying they did, it'd just be performative bullshit.
