    Because in America things like the Tulsa Race Massacre happen a fair bit, and the cops either stand by or join in, so you have to be able to defend you and yours.

    Remember folks, armed minorities are harder to oppress.

    Because we need to be able to defend ourselves and our communities from fascism and others who want to oppress us. Easier said than done of course.

    Unfortunately the definition of fascism varies depending on who you're talking to. There are an astounding number of people in this country who think that allowing abortion or gender affirming care are a form of fascism. And they think it's alright to use guns to fight what they perceive as fascism.
