Imagine being the richest person on earth and best you can come up with for a new restaurant is the most boring menu at ridiculous prices.

Edit: To be fair tho, gonna need a source on this. Since OP hasn’t provided a link or anything.

Ridiculous prices? This is pretty much normal in my area, which isn't one of the most expensive places in the country. Boring ass menu though

Damn. Poor USians. Y’all are getting scammed for shitty food 😭

This guy’s hot dogs probably aren’t even $13.

I was about to say the same, but then realized that none of the entrees include fries. $14 for a burger and fries is not unexpected at your average sports bar, but without fries for a plain Jane burger? I don’t know what the market is like in LA …

But $12 for four strips of bacon is outrageous, and $5 for this cookie is a slap in the face

The hot dog says "served with fried potatoes" at least. If the burger doesn't come with fries that's criminal. How can you serve a burger without fries

LA varies widely in food prices (I visit 2-3x a year). The overall vibe I can distill it down to is that these are competitive with small restaurants with no big name recognition or premium ingredients. UOVO pasta? 30-40$/serving. Some no name poke restaurant next to a Ralph’s? 15$ for a whole ass bowl of raw fish fresh from the fish market.

LA is the land of Star fuckers, where name recognition and vanity are above all else. If you stay away from the star fuckers, food there is actually affordable compared to the cost of living.

Yeah prices look normal to me expect for the children's menu. The point of a kid's menu is that it is cheaper because the portions are smaller. I don't understand what they are smoking with the identical prices to the adult menu.

It’s because fries are extra on the adult menu

Yeah, most hipster burger places charge more, TBH. In Austin the standard price for a burger is now $16 without sides.

Casino el Camino was like $20 for a burger and fries without tip. It was good, but that’s ridiculously expensive. I can get a Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger at Whataburger for half the price and it’s just as filling (double patty and bacon).

The Jackalope actually has reasonable burger prices if you’re downtown. Like $5-6 for the basic ones

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.
