Jokes aside, she has the money to start over fresh in whatever country she pleases and live a comfortable stress free life. Us, on the other hand, do not have that luxury. So it's going to be super fun when the DOJ can just decide because you posted "Free Palestine" on facebook that your citizenship gets revoked and you're shipped off to some concentration camp in latin america.

Rosie O'Donnel said one shitty thing conservatives didn't like 25 years ago.

Rosie hasn't been relevant since 1998, she wasn't relevant in 2001 when she said the shit thing that conservatives are still mad about.

Trump is probably in the stage of dementia where he probably getting mad each night because he is learning all over again that the O'Reilly Factor isn't on the air anymore.

Chuds are still mad at Jane Fonda even though it's been over 50 years

[-] BelieveRevolt@hexbear.net 24 points 7 months ago

I remember her appearing in Bush era memes about how liberal women are ugly and conservative women like Ann Coulter are beautiful.

[-] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 29 points 7 months ago

Ann Coulter are beautiful.

I'm not going to wade in and dictate beauty standards which are subjective. I will say however though the chuds have a "type" they elevate, Pam Bondi, Karoline Leavitt, Ann Coulter, Tomi Lahren, you get the picture.

[-] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 3 points 7 months ago

Is the type "Dead eyed hollow husk of a human being?" Because that seems to be the type based on that chart.

I remember those.

(CW: old chud meme; thinly veiled misogyny; liberals falsely labeled as leftists)

I like how the conservatives' pictures are official portraits and glamour shots, while the liberals' pictures are candid, Photoshopped or otherwise out of context.

Seems mostly old vs young with a dash of racism. Also, is that Rosie O'Donnel's face photoshopped on Saddam Hussein?

[-] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 8 points 7 months ago

Yeah there's a lot of ageism. Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi, for example, would both be missing from this chart if they were still in their 20s or 30s.

[-] AtmosphericRiversCuomo@hexbear.net 6 points 7 months ago

Saddam Hussein?

No, its Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged number three in al-Qaida.

[-] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 10 points 7 months ago

These are always so stupid because you can just point to Hollywood, which chuds are constantly seething over as being too liberal. Taylor Swift was their darling until she vaguely hinted at not liking Trump. Hell, a lot of Fox News staff are there because they couldn't make it in any other kind of showbiz (like Ben Shapiro).

You can fill up both sides of that chart pretty easily because surprise surprise, attractive people exist all over the political spectrum and we shouldn't use that as a litmus for intelligence.

That Clinton one should be an emoji though it's great hillary-apartment

[-] BelieveRevolt@hexbear.net 4 points 7 months ago

It's funny how I recognize pretty much every name on the left, while at least half of the ones on the right are in ”literally who?” territory.

[-] nothx@hexbear.net 23 points 7 months ago

probably getting mad each night because he is learning all over again that the O'Reilly Factor isn't on the air anymore.

My dead grandfather is still fuming over this from his grave.

I was gonna say, the only time I ever come across anything about Rosie O'Donnell anymore is via boomer memes. They're literally the one and only demographic who still cares about her.

Newcomm and Newsmega Rules:

The Hexbear Code of Conduct and Terms of Service apply here.

  1. Link titles: Please use informative link titles. Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed.

  2. Content warnings: Posts on the newscomm and top-level replies on the newsmega should use content warnings appropriately. Please be thoughtful about wording and triggers when describing awful things in post titles.

  3. Fake news: No fake news posts ever, including April 1st. Deliberate fake news posting is a bannable offense. If you mistakenly post fake news the mod team may ask you to delete/modify the post or we may delete it ourselves.

  4. Link sources: All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. If you are citing a Twitter post as news, please include the Xcancel.com (or another Nitter instance) or at least strip out identifier information from the twitter link. There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance, such as Libredirect or archive them as you would any other reactionary source.

  5. Archive sites: We highly encourage use of non-paywalled archive sites (i.e. archive.is, web.archive.org, ghostarchive.org) so that links are widely accessible to the community and so that reactionary sources don’t derive data/ad revenue from Hexbear users. If you see a link without an archive link, please archive it yourself and add it to the thread, ask the OP to fix it, or report to mods. Including text of articles in threads is welcome.

  6. Low effort material: Avoid memes/jokes/shitposts in newscomm posts and top-level replies to the newsmega. This kind of content is OK in post replies and in newsmega sub-threads. We encourage the community to balance their contribution of low effort material with effort posts, links to real news/analysis, and meaningful engagement with material posted in the community.

  7. American politics: Discussion and effort posts on the (potential) material impacts of American electoral politics is welcome, but the never-ending circus of American Politics© Brought to You by Mountain Dew™ is not welcome. This refers to polling, pundit reactions, electoral horse races, rumors of who might run, etc.

  8. Electoralism: Please try to avoid struggle sessions about the value of voting/taking part in the electoral system in the West. c/electoralism is right over there.

  9. AI Slop: Don't post AI generated content. Posts about AI race/chip wars/data centers are fine.
