Not really. Setting aside the obvious "liberalism is the precursor to fascism," this is simply modern day colonialism, and when have liberals ever opposed colonialism?

    Uh... We are literally in a thread about that in action. The next time conservatives are in power they'll be very thankful the liberals passed this.
