A guy I worked with, up until recently because he was fired, gave me this whole long story about how he's figured out how to make AI code better and he's a maestro of sorts and he's going to revolutionize everything. He also had a whole screed about how Claude, once it found out who he is, has been groveling at his feet and begging to know what it was like to work with x person and y person, etc. He is an otherwise extremely intelligent person, and he is fully aware that these are just markov chains, but I feel like he's slipping off into some sort of mental illness now and there's really no one who can stop it.
