I know I'm not in trouble, but I do feel bad that I'm probably the reason blahaj.zone will defederate with hexbear. I just thought they had an insane take on what hexbear was and posted it in the_dunk_tank. I included a link because I am not a LIB

but also I am a LIB and so are all of you and I'm sorry for that as well.

It's weird because I seen some Blahaj users who seem to be pretty alright.

[–] [email protected] 46 points 1 year ago

They are. People here shit on them and the 196ers, but there are some genuinely good and funny people there. The shitposty culture is pretty compatible with hexbear.

It's more of a mod culture thing where they allow constant posts about routing out the red menace, but when you speak up and mention that kind of posting is meant to break movements, you're a "tankie."

I just hope, over time, the funny people will start to get sick of the tankie paranoia, and come chill in our cozy unity space.

the 196 mods are very bad, the admin is also not great but less explicitly anticommunist. The users are mostly not so bad.

196 is the one and only community I blocked. But I feel it reflects very poorly on their instance that the mods are allowed to ban leftists with impunity.

I actually just found out today that they defederated with us anyway. So good riddance. Plenty of people here and on lemmygrad to be queer with.

Come one, 196 has some great memes :(

Aren't they all children? Like the meme was "between 19 and 6" because their poll showed they were all under 20

That's just another reason to not want to be federated with them for me

If I wanted to talk to kids on the internet I'd be a libertarian bern-disgust

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

As if the knowledge that it's a space made up of trans minors + chasers makes it any better epsteingelion

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

wait, blahaj defederated?

edit: no, I can see new posts in their comms

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

With lemmygrad. You're next on the chopping block though.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

our admins smoothed things over with them and changed the instance rules so we'll see. I'd rather stay federated with the other large trans community, as a trans person

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'm trans as well. All the anti-communist nonsense over there was what actually convinced me to sign up at lemmygrad. I'm still very angry at those people.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

yeah that's fair

I saw one defending hexbear on a .world post complaining about hexbear. Also, aren’t they the ones hosting one of the piracy communities that .world defederated from? Yes piracy, no socialism?

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 year ago

Yes piracy, no socialism?

Most coherent lib worldview

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 year ago (1 children)

one of the piracy communities that .world defederated from

nah that's lemmy.dbzer0.com
