Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

I always loved that scene. The word Toronto is written in like three places in that square and there's more than one Canadian flag. Both a dig at the fact that Toronto is used for New York everywhere and the fact that Kirk is a glorious dumbass.
Fun fact: Did you know that New York City has basically no alleys? They've got around 5 and only one of them is really film worthy. Meanwhile, Toronto has alleys up the ass. One of the reasons people believe alleys are everywhere in NYC is because they are everywhere in downtown Toronto and that's where they film.
I love that scene too. When Kirk first mentioned if it was New York, I just blindly assumed that the writers and producers were just going to go in that direction. I was partly sad that Toronto was going to masked over as another American city but at the same time nostalgically looking forward to seeing the city any way.
It was both a sigh of relief and a big smile when La'an looked at Kirk like he was an idiot and told him it was Toronto.
Considering how much they talk about loving Toronto, I would have lost my shit if they called it New York. Fuck youuuuuuuu. WE EXIST.
