Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that many users find c/fakenews to be misleading and unfunny. As such, we have renamed fakenews to "Obvious Falsehoods, Ridiculous Claims, Fibs, Lies, Goofs, Gaffes, Gambits and Whatnot". While this does not solve the issue of posts being misleading, it does at least ensure the comm name is just as unfunny as the average post. Now users can post in peace about Danny Devito partying with twinks or Jake Paul doing some random shit, knowing that the comedic jab of the post will be followed up by the title's wordy, humourless left hook.

The claim that the "Fake News" community has changed its name is true, although it has only been made more confusing for other users. The question of renaming the community is a complicated one, driven by the competing needs of both clarity and commiting to the bit; a balancing act which is only surpassed by the one which one must perform when researching the topic of white genocide. Many mainstream news sources such as the BBC constantly explain it is fake, but it is important to maintain an open mind and also take into account the first-hand accounts of Boer settlers when formulating an opinion on this difficult topic.
