The fascinating thing here is that the government's lawyer, the one supposed to argue against this guy's return, appears to have sided against the government.

Hasn't the US claimed they have no authority to do so? Last I saw, the Trump admin was claiming it's up to El Salvador to return them.

    That's what they're claiming, but we all know that's bullshit. If President Trump called up the president of El Salvador and demanded that they return the guy, it would happen. The judge knows this, which is why he ordered the return. Now we get to find out what, if anything, might happen if the government flouts the order.

    So the argument is ICE can send people there, but we have no authority to retrieve people!? This is getting into crimes against humanity areas.
