You are not being oppressed. This protest has zero effect on anything other than just inconveniencing users. When the blackouts started, I decided to leave reddit permanently for Lemmy, a decision that I don't regret. I checked back in briefly today and it seems like reddit is currently tearing itself apart. There's definitely a lot more people vocally disagreeing with the blackout now.
