Is she saying they because her 3 year old child mentioned Dad over any of her female family members, that only heterosexuality is valid?
I think she's getting the innate from her kid's age, as if she's too young to have been influenced by gender roles from society thus making it innate.
And yeah, I think like, look my daughter wanted to show off her hair and dresses to a man? I believe. Obviously this is very difficult to parse.
