Summary

A federal judge blocked most of Donald Trump’s executive orders that aimed to end government support for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs.

U.S. District Judge Adam Abelson found the orders likely violated free speech rights and issued a preliminary injunction preventing enforcement.

The plaintiffs, including Baltimore and academic groups, argued the orders were unconstitutional and caused widespread harm.

The ruling allows the attorney general to investigate DEI practices but halts enforcement.

Yeah. Great. Wonderful. Sweet Potato Hitler is just gonna ignore what the judges say, and do what-the-fuck he wants regardless. I'm old, pissed off, and tired.

The whole point is to remove the legal backing of the orders such that anyone who isn't already not complying out of a sense of morals but is enough of a mook to stop because "it's law" also stops complying.

The whole game is to bluff people into complying with any shit they want preemptively because there's no way in hell they'd get such policies through official channels.
