I'll have to go back at some point. I absolutely loved the base game--one of my favorite games of all time. But while I found the DLC really intriguing, I also found some of the mechanics really frustrating and I ended up throwing in the towel because I couldn't make progress. I mean, I got stuck on some parts for hours in the base game, but because there's so much more to explore I could always take a break and come back, and also get to experience very different environments.
At points I had to remind myself that it is a puzzle game, and that you don't have to have good reflexes or quick movements. If anything seems really hard, there is actually a really easy way to do it that you just haven't figured out yet. Especially in the DLC, which asks you to do some impossible tasks that become trivial once you've figured out the trick.
I would try the hard thing for hours before the easy solution came to me while I was away from the game.
