    No it's not.
    It's prison slang.
    Largely popularised by the fantastic Aussie crime series "Mr.Inbetween"

    So unless you have associates who have been to prison...or fedora wearing "aaakshually..." mates....you can call folks Champ all you want...

    I actually have a suspicion that might be a bot. I barely understand their bio, they are incapable of interpreting jokes, basically embody the "take memes seriously and get into fights with random people on the internet" meme, and are generally coming across quite arrogant
