My cousin went there as a foreign exchange student, and she lived a mile away from the town center. So she walked, cause it's less than 20 minutes. Then a cop car stopped beside her. First they were friendly, asking if her car broke down. But when she said she doesn't have a car, and is walking, they actually took her in for questioning. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] dragonfucker@lemmy.nz 15 points 2 years ago (2 children) Don't they need to charge her with something in order to do that? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] Maggoty@lemmy.world 25 points 2 years ago* That's the Welcome to Texas package. permalink fedilink source parent [–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 19 points 2 years ago (1 child) Nah it's America permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] sem@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 2 years ago I think they can hold you for a set period of time before they have to charge you.
